Longyearbyen, Svalbard

Friday the 13th of October, I traveled up to Longyearbyen on Svalbard to visit two of my friends that are studying there this semester. I’ve always wanted to go to Svalbard, so I jumped on the opportunity to go up there. Svalbard is a part of Norway, and Longyearbyen lies at 78 degrees north. It’s the most northern I’ve ever been, and I absolutely loved it.

I didn’t really go to Svalbard to go on many adventures, that I can do later. I went to explore Longyearbyen and spend time with my friends. I will go back there though, and then I will go on adventures to the glaciers, to Pyramiden (a russian village, pretty much deserted), and lots of other fun stuff.

Here’s pictures from my wonderful northern weekend;
